What age do you cut kids’ hair?
We welcome kids of all ages.
Every child is different, so rather than age, it comes down to how comfortable they feel sitting in the chair. If they’re not quite ready yet, no stress we can always try again another time.
Please note that extremely detailed haircuts may not be possible on all children, it will depend on their level of comfort and stillness in the shop and with getting their hair cut.
A guide on ages:
0 – 3 yrs old can typically be challenging to cut due to their energetic natures. Clients can give us a call if their kids are below the ages of 3 if they’re unsure if we can service them or not. While we can cut these children’s hair we do only recommend bringing your child in if they’re comfortable in the shop and can sit still relatively well.
4 – 12yrs old is the perfect age to bring your child into the barbershop. At this age children are typically able to sit still very well creating a safe and comfortable experience.
What if my child doesn’t sit still?
No stress we work with kids all the time.
We’ll do our best to keep them comfortable, but if things become too overwhelming or unsafe, we may need to pause and reschedule.
Do you do first haircuts?
What styles do you do?
Everything from simple trims to fades and more detailed styles.
If you’ve got a reference photo, feel free to bring that in as it helps a lot.
What if my child cries or refuses the haircut?
It happens on occasion, we’ll always try our best, but sometimes it’s better to try again another day when they’re more comfortable if they’re refusing the haircut adamantly.
